To begin, my friends are pretty exceptional people. From each and every single one of them I have learned a lot about who I am, and who I have wanted to become. I hope I have left a similar imprint upon each of them, as well. Several are much smarter than me. Some are more kind. Some have incredible imaginations from which I’ve drawn awe and inspiration! I have learned loyalty, trust, friendship, and fidelity from them. We’ve been there for each other through life, love, divorces, addictions, and death. However, as much as each one of these people have been my angels at one point or another, I knew there was no way most of them could ever come “play”. The idea of running off to Ireland for a weekend on the spur of the moment was simply out of the question for almost every single person I knew!! Jobs, mortgage, kids, tuition, etc… had consumed them, as it does almost everyone!!
That is where the idea of ET65 was born! It is a celebration of my friendships and the stories that come from them! It is the final actualization of a childhood dream, which only needed to be named. EVERYONE TOGETHER AT 65! I had found the way to pay off my friend’s mortgages, send their kids (all of which I dearly love) to college, buy them the cars and homes of their dreams, and ensure that they would never outlive their money! Now I can realize my dream…all of my friends, and all of their families, will finally be able to finally “come play”!
